INT. BOARDROOM - DAY
THEME: THe gap
It started with a realization.

We were drowning.
And we weren’t the only ones.

Protagonist Ink didn’t begin as a business plan. It began as a bev nap, late night at a bar when the world felt like it was breaking—the markets, the culture, the life around us.

One side of us had spent decades advertising luxury tech brands, phone carriers, Hollywood. The other spent just as long fighting to help New York and Los Angeles education programs and nonprofits get the attention they deserved. Then, what seemed like overnight, the world around us went from thriving to surviving. Good people doing their best in a system manufactured to keep them small.

But all those stories we created for brands, for the movies, for performance halls and museums. They weren't about being small. They were about transformation.

We didn’t set out to start a studio. But after twenty+ years of helping others transform their businesses, we realized we knew how to build a raft.

What turns a pawn into a protagonist? STORY.

SCENE 02
THE BIG IDEA

We design the story that
builds your transformation.

Principle 01

Truth over Tactics

We search for the truth first. To paraphrase Sun Tzu, strategy without conviction is just noise.
Principle 02

Clarity is currency

The world is noisier than it’s ever been. The statements that cut through are clear and direct.
Principle 03

Humanity above all

The authenticity. The passion. The drama. The thrill. That’s where the good stuff lives.
What We do
Founders, dreamers, and cultural leaders operate at the edge of what's possible. But ideas are fragile. Without the protection of a story that’s structured, anchored, and authentic, even the best ideas can be shut down. Dreams can be easily misunderstood. Passions—easily dismissed.
Instead, we start from the foundation. Logos, websites, and media are tactics. The strategy that carries it all comes from within. Why you do what you do. The journey you set out on. And what you’ll achieve when you arrive. That’s your narrative. And it’s the only one like it.

HOW WE WORK

01

Discovery

Every leader carries two stories: the one they tell the world, and the one they've never said out loud. Before we build anything, we listen—not to the pitch you've rehearsed or the tagline you've been repeating. We work with you to find the real story. Your narrative starts where your "why" begins.

02

Architecture

We give your story shape. The beliefs, the goals, the mission—that's what holds it together. We find the holes and the through-lines. Then we translate what matters most into a narrative you can actually use: one your team understands, your board gets behind, and your audience remembers.

03

Integration

We put your story to work—aligning your team around the same language, refining pitch decks, donor emails, board reports, and partnership asks. We make sure your internal and external materials come from the same narrative spine, or your website matches your culture. And then we talk tactics. How do we best tell your story to the world? It all stems from here.

Who we work with

Your story needs a hero. That's you.

This work is for leaders who've built something that matters, and keep getting asked to prove it. It's for nonprofits fighting for funding. Arts organizations bridging culture and commerce. Founders building solutions the world needs, but doesn't know it—yet.

Your mission is clear to you. We make it undeniable to everyone else.
